Alice Lin is Beijing-based illustrator who makes wonderful illustrations containing rich, extraordinarily crunchy details. Her latest fabulous creation is Faramita, represented by a large scale sculpture of swan with her giant wings fluttering wide.
Using only pencil on Canson drawing paper, Lin creates the elaborate giant swan which hangs 3.5 feet tall by 7 feet wide. It took her approximately one month to complete the illustration.
Lin creates stunning details by giving careful consideration to light and shadows where she layers on pencil layer. That way she is supposed to make an incredible depth to her illustrations.
She uses reality as the foundation of her work but then she develops these thoughts to generate more captivating concepts complete with surreal components.
