Parenting can be really hard, especially with infants who are just on their way to become a toddler and this artist captured the emotions perfectly!
Ståle Gerhardsen is an artist who captured the struggles of being a parent and put a hilarious twist on it. It goes without saying that being a parent is one of the hardest jobs and this artist speaks to all of us. While speaking to A plus, he said, "Normally I have one million projects at the same time. But when it was about time to do the paternity leave-disco with my second child, I put all my other projects down for four months. Put everything on hold, just focusing on my son. I knew that [raising my son] was lots of work, so I wanted to go all in. But, as every parent knows, there are so many weird, funny and cool situations raising a child. And I found myself just needing to vent a bit." So he started illustrating his experiences on paternity leave and uploaded them on Instagram. After he uploaded around 40 illustrations, he had enough material to publish a book. He added, "We were already a close crew of four. My daughter helped me color in the illustrations, and my wife did the proofreading. The youngest was the main inspiration for the situations. So the book is kind of a family product."
