Beagle Sprinkles Portrait

This cute dog enjoying a nice shower is actually not a photo nor drawing.

Student Joel Brochu used the technique called “pointillism” to make this pixilated beagle portrait, covered with 221,184 nonpareil sprinkles, each placed painstakingly by his own hand for 8 months. Helped by double sized tape and a thin layer of glue, he managed to accomplished this work although it was quite tiring that Brochu almost gave up. Using only 6 colors of sprinkles, a myriad of hues was created.
