Before And After SFX Hollywood Makeup

Some transformations seem almost like magic, incredible!

The use of prosthetics as part of the Special Make up Effect (SFX) on the stage of the show is also a very important element to make a story told feels more real in the eyes of the audience. Its use in the film industry, for example, has been going on for a long time. Prosthetics in the entertainment universe underwent a revolution when John Chambers (1922-2001), a well-known US makeup artist known as the "behind" Spock's ear in Star Trek (1966), created a buzz in the world of prosthetic makeup to "animate" various monkey characters in the film Planet of The Apes (1968).

By using the skills and power of prosthetics, this talented makeup artist can change everything about a person's appearance - from the shape of the nose to the whole body. They can even turn people into frightening magical creatures, making your favorite actor almost completely unrecognizable. See photos before and after Hollywood actors in SFX makeup - some transformations seem almost like magic, incredible!

It's no secret that makeup can drastically change one's appearance but SFX Hollywood makeup takes it to the next level. The makeup artists there didn't just stop with a wig and a little eye shadow - they were all out. Bored Panda has compiled some of "the best before and after". More SFX: here .
