Don’t just toss your paper into a waste basket after you err on that and decide to write on another paper, because Suzy Taylor will need that for her artwork. That’s right a single piece of paper is what she needs to transform it into a delicate specimen of craftsmanship.
Of course she would do some cuttings or maybe too many cuttings to create her beautiful lace-like details as seen in individual piece. It may look like laser cuts or die cuts but they are just done meticulously by hand using only an ordinary craft knife. She said, “I love working this way, it’s totally absorbing and I can get lost in it for hours.” But since she is still making her art in a very traditional way of crafting, she has to do the job with extra painstaking manner.
As a matter of fact, her original designs are influenced much by her love of folk art and floral kind of patterns. Because each work is carried out only to cater for custom orders, her work will be different from one another, no two will be the same.
