The tradition of sculpture in the west began in ancient Greece and is widely seen as a productive form of work. Then the revival of the classical value of the Renaissance resulted in the production of craftsmen/artists who were very well-known productive figures.
One of them is a sculpture artist from Russia - Sergei Bobkov, who has a high talent and skill in making sculptures from wooden chips that produce a beautiful and realistic wooden sculpture of an animal.
The first step in the process is to carefully understand the anatomy of a creature. The next step is to create his own wood chips. To do this he shaves 100-150 chips from a solid stick of cedar. He then soaks the fragments in water for several days before beginning to carve. Each sculpture can take up to six months to complete.
