Internet Sensation Grumpy Cat's Has Died And Our Tears Are Real

The world is saddened by the death of the internet legendary, Grumpy Cat who died at the age of seven. According to a statement, she died due to a recent complication in her urinary tract. Grumpy Cat was not an ordinary cat, but has helped millions of people smile. Her real name was Tardar Sauce. "We are unimaginably heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved Grumpy Cat," Tabatha Bundesen, Grumpy Cat's owner, said.

"Despite care from top professionals, as well as from her very loving family, Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome. She passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, May 14, at home in the arms of her mommy, Tabatha." 



 

 

"Besides being our baby and a cherished member of the family, Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world -- even when times were tough. Her spirit will continue to live on through her fans everywhere," Bundesen, who lives in Morristown Arizona, wrote, reported CNN.



 

 
 Grumpy Cat had feline dwarfism that was responsible for her distinctive facial features and small size. It was in 2012, when she became viral after photographs of her not so happy expression surfaced online. Soon her image was everywhere. The legendary cat lived her life to the fullest and traveled all around the world making several television appearances. She also starred in her own Christmas film in 2014.

Ever since fans heard about her death, thousands of memes have been shared with her face in it by many people. A social media account for cartoon cat Garfield also paid tribute. Even American actress Aubrey Plaza who played the voice of the cat in the film 2014 said that "her heart is broken". It is indeed an extremely sad demise of a beautiful creature, and she shall be missed forever.
