Illustrator Mariam Abbas is trying to honor the glory of the sacred structure of mosques from some cities in the United Arab Emirates like Dubai, Abu Dhabi by creating miniature drawings of intricate domes and minarets. Using a pointed pencil tip, Abbas painstakingly sketched those delicate constructions of some mosque with their elegant halls, courtyards and niches.
Some versions of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Jumeirah Mosque, and more other mosques are also done in good details only to show her ingenuity.
When you look at her illustrations, you will have an impression that those mosque in her piece really stand tall a distance from you. While looking at the patterns and shapes of the constructions, Abbas seems to combine her illustrations to show remarkable diversity in them, each one more exquisite than the last.
