Body painters like Leonie Gené and Joerg Duesterwald have worked together with photographers Laila Pregizer and Uwe Schmida to seamlessly create human body to integrate into natural landscapes. This metamorphosis blends nude models with any form shown in the surroundings. They could be of rock formation or shady trees those naked models can attach as extension to environment.
Without any help of Photoshop, the photographers insist on capturing the pictures of such beautiful integration right on the very spot, and so does the body painting process. The models are painted exactly on location. It certainly takes very skilled and talented body painters to do the magical job and artistic body painting as to make the models seem to disappear into the background.
As the Model Society writes, “These remarkable images encourage us to enjoy the curves, forms and subtleties of the nude body just as we would enjoy the graceful shape of a tree, the gentle rise of hill or the abrupt angles of a rock formation.”
Even though the project had already begun years before, the Metamorphosis was released as calendars only in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
