Because of the funny photo action, Kimiko's photo went viral after an acquaintance uploaded her eccentric photo collection online. Her unique style in every selfie photo makes Kimiko loved by netizens. Many of them posted positive comments, expressing admiration and love for grandma's selfie photos. "I'm happy to see people enjoying my selfies," Kimiko told the Japanese daily, The Mainichi.

She released her first photo collection entitled "Hitori ja naka yo '(You're Not Alone)." "I'm glad people are happy to see my selfie," Kumamoto residents told the newspaper. This elderly grandmother had shown all of her photos at an exhibition at the Epson Imaging Gallery EpSITE in the Shinjuku area in Tokyo between December 15, 2017, until January 18, 2018.

The exhibition, themed "Asobokane" (let's play), would include photography artworks that were not previously published.

This Selfie Queen from Japan revealed that at a young age, she was a bicycle racer. At the age of 22, Kimiko achieved very good results in several races, but she chose to retire from sports because of her marriage and decided to work part-time while raising her three children. Kimiko then became friends with a young photographer when her son took a photography course 18 years ago, when she was 72 years old. Kimiko Nishimoto made a big decision. She began taking photography classes conducted by her eldest son. This decision became the beginning of Nishimoto's love of photography, and she became fond of taking funny selfies. She also really enjoyed her new hobby, so she decided to establish her own studio at home. Pursuing the world of photography makes Kimiko more creative.

10 years later, at the age of 82, she managed to hold her first solo exhibition in a museum in her native place, Kumamoto. Then, at the age of 89, Nishimoto was still actively taking selfies using a tripod and timer, and all the digital editing of her photos was done by her.

Kimiko Nishimoto was the talk of sharing social media throughout Japan and various countries because of her photos.

"I will try anything that interests me," she said, and Kimiko began experimenting with different narcissists. The collections are also diverse and popular because she managed to have more than 229 thousand followers on Instagram to date.
