"I have drawn a number of photos of Lindsay and I in the Futurama and Adventure Time styles before and the reaction has given me an idea, I must draw us in my interpretation of the style of all the shows we have watched," O 'Hickey explained. A Simpsons caricature style, where the pair is drawn in the basic shape and iconic yellow skin features; Family Guy, where they both display expressive white smiles; and even the Dragon Ball Z style anime, where O'Hickey draws himself with spiky hair and muscular arms.
Kells O'Hickey decided to use his drawing skills to make creative gifts for his girlfriend, Lindsay, character artist and graphic designer based in Minnesota. His illustrations depict a couple's portrait in the style of their 10 favorite cartoons. From Disney to anime, thoughtful drawings show the diverse drawing skills of talented artists.
Of course, Lindsay was very pleased with her illustration, telling O 'Hickey: "I love you to the moon and back."
