Surreal Fantasy Inspired By Hayao Miyazaki And Tim Burton

Nobody can be compared to Ciryl Rolando at digital painting. Now, Rolando lives in France. Among the so many clinician psychologists in the world, he is perhaps the best of all in digital painting. He usually works under his nick name, Aquasixio who enjoys focusing around the colors of life and the emotional aspect of humans.

Rolando himself calls his art work as the otherworldly since he tries to balance between the surreal and the fantasy.

He said in his profile at DeviantArt, “Tim Burton and Hayao Miyazaki are both the roots of my own world. I like the surrealism movement, especially the work of Boris Vian and his ‘Foam of the Daze’ (L’Ecume des jours). I like the absurdity, the creativity and the enchanting universes, where colors bring more emotions than thousands smiles or million tears.”

Interestingly, since his own personal life is far from happiness, he then doesn’t use vivid colors for all his work. Once he said that darkness of life is more inspiring than happy and safe people.
