Nyoman Gunarsa (born Banda Klungkung, Bali 15 April 1944), comes from family background of various kinds of arts, he went to Yogyakarta and study painting at Indonesia Art Academy. He graduated in 1976 and he was among founders of the still existing Sanggar Dewata Bali.
