Justyna Kopania is a Polish artist who creates these beautiful autumn oil painting series. Overflowing with warm color, such paintings discover the many different moods of a fall landscape.
The colors she used for those leaves ranging from crimson to burnt ochre toward skeletal condition, which will reflect the melancholy shadows on lakes and rivers. Due to her mastery in building layers of oil paint, Kopania seems to keep on showing an evolution in her piece by bringing vibrant styles to the canvas.
To maintain both emotional and technical level, she expresses her deep understanding of applying color to construct shape and depth. Non-traditional media often defines the modern art that she brings as a throwback reminiscent of the great English Romanticist landscape painter JMW Turner.
Being proud of her classical oil painting, she uses her brushstrokes to transport the viewer as well as to invite from them the emotional response. Feeling too comfortable with a cup of apple cider, all memories are poured in the stroke of a brush. It may be seen as rushing through the rainy streets under the umbrella, watching the leaves change color, before they end up falling away.
As what she once says, "Perhaps the world around us humans is different from how we perceive it. Probably in every drop of rain, grain of sand, or snowflake, there are millions of colors that everyone can see if they decide to observe them with an unusual perspective. In a painting I wish to interact with and capture the quick passage of time, seconds giving rise to minutes, minutes that generate hours, hours turn into days, then into week and months. Finally, from months to years, and from years an entire lifetime, the greatest art is to live life in order to be happy, to live in harmony with oneself and with the world around us, giving ourselves to others."
